Renovation of a parking garage in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Garage roof replacement is required. Attendance at a mandatory scheduled site visit is necessary prior to quote submission. Quotes must include a cost breakdown (materials, labor, and overhead) and list number. Prevailing wages must be paid as this is a NYS Public Works Project. Vendors or sub-contractors must be registered with NYS DOL to submit a quote, and a copy of the certificate(s) must be included with the quote. Follow the guidelines provided in supporting documents and review the scope of work and any attachments before submitting. Location 95-06 120th StSouth Richmond Hill, NY 11419, USA Question Deadline 04/09/2026 Any vendor questions not asked during the site visit must be submitted in writing to: Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov DESCRIPTION GH 18 Garage Roof Replacement Garage Roof Repair. The Vendor to supply and install all Materials and Labor to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 14 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of Garage Roof Replacement, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. Important: This NYS/OPWDD residential home is and will be occupied during construction work. All provisions must be made to minimize disruption and keep the home safe for occupants. No egress routes shall be blocked at any time. Materials and debris must be protected for safety. Contractor must comply with all applicable NYS codes. SCOPE OF WORK Includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1 Contractor shall verify the actual measurements of the job. Contractor will supply all labor, Materials and equipment to get the job completed in a timely manner. 2 Inspect condition of the Roof of the Garage, prepare Roof to receive new Shingles. 3 Remove all Shingles from the Roof of the Garage and dispose of offsite. 4 Inspect the condition of the Plywood decking on the Roof of the Garage, Identify and remove all Plywood that is found in poor condition. All Plywood removed must be disposed of off-site. 5 Supply and install new outdoor grade Plywood decking in sections that has been identified needing to be replaced. Plywood decking should be glued and screwed down every 16" at center. 6 Prepare newly installed outdoor grade Plywood decking to receive installation of new shingles. Supply and Install Grace or equivalent water shield Fire and Ice protective sheathing over entire Plywood covering the Roof of the Garage. 8 Supply and install Timberline UDHZ new shingles for entire Roof of the Garage. 9 Supply and install flashing cement with appropriate mastic to any openings found while performing repairs on the Roof. Seal all gaps and penetrations for a complete waterproof job. 10 Replace and install all new leaders' gutters and downspouts, gutters are to have leaf guards. 11 Replace all Fascia Board with new outdoor treated lumber and prime and paint 2 coats of outdoor paint. 12 Test and inspect to ensure no leaks are present in newly installed Garage Roof. 13 All materials Must be available and on site prior to starting project. Once the work has started all work shall be completed as soon as possible, and not beyond 2 weeks total. 14 Contractor is to provide $1 Million in insurance liability coverage. 15 Contractor is to Supply a 5yr warranty on Roof work performed. And all debris must be removed daily. 16 All work must not interfere with day-to-day operation of the home or affect any individual. GH 18: Garage Roof Replacement Install New Timberline or equivalent Shingles, Replace Plywood Decking as Needed, and Seal all Penetrations. Leaders Gutters and Downspouts to be included.
