Fencing Grand Haven Area Public Schools Grand Haven Area Public Schools will accept sealed bids for the purchase and installation of fencing as described in the attached specifications. The awarded contractor will coordinate the installation with the owner and the Landscape Architect from the Outdoor Discovery Center. The contractor is responsible for contacting Miss Dig 811 and following the rules before construction, as well as obtaining approval from the Director of Operations before starting any core boring or dig work. Some underground items need to be located on-site that will not be identified by Miss Dig. The contractor may request a site walk before submitting their proposal, with a 24-hour notice required. Fence systems shall be 5' in height, black vinyl-coated, 2" Diamond x 8 gauge (11 core) extruded knuckle-knuckle x 60" wire, with top and bottom rails (1 ?” 065 swedged x 21’ long), line posts (1 ?” diameter x 065), terminal posts (2” diameter x 065), post footings embedded to a depth of 42", and all posts set in concrete. Gates will have 1 ?” frames with residential post hinges and strong arm latches. Each proposal must be submitted with one original and one copy, and must include the Familial Disclosure Statement and the notarized Affidavit of Compliance to the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. All proposals shall be firm for ninety (90) days. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informality, or award the contract to other than the low bidder in the best interest of the District.
