The Municipality is undertaking Flood Mitigation works for Reaches 10 & 10 JHP Contract 2, to be executed in two phases. The scope of work includes: Abandonment of the existing storm sewer system along Saline Creek Drive & McCormick Drive Removal & Replacement of clay tile Waterways sanitary sewer with PVC pipe Installation of an 1800mm diameter manhole with two plug valves on the Waterways sanitary sewer Removal, disposal and replacement of existing pavement structures and concrete works Raising of Saline Creek Drive roadway, including associated sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and medians Intersection improvements at McCormick Drive & Saline Creek Drive Construction of the South Multi Use Trail & ARV Access Construction of a lift station berm and berm behind the Access Road Road and parking lot improvements Provision of temporary parking lot access Application of pavement markings Landscape works, including removal of existing trees and planting of new trees Objective: The purpose of these works is to protect adjacent neighborhoods from flooding by implementing effective mitigation measures, including the raising Saline Creek Drive and McCormick Drive.
