The project is for construction of the Stone County Recorder of Deeds Facility at 203 East 4th Street, Galena, Missouri, with a total area of approximately 6,780 square feet. The scope includes all work indicated in the Contract Documents covering Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and General scope of work for the facility. Prevailing wage rates will apply. Bidders must submit unified bids for all indicated work. The company submitting a bid must have completed projects of similar size and scope, have operated under the same name for at least four consecutive years, and submit a completed AIA form 305 Contractor's Statement of Qualifications with the bid proposal. Proof of qualification for a bid security bond of no less than 5% of the bid amount is required, based on the sum of base bid and all bid alternates. Additional instructions and requirements are detailed in the project manual. The owner will consider factors such as bidder reputation, schedule, time constraints, service, and price when approving bids. Stone County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to select the lowest qualified bidder. Bids may not be withdrawn for 25 days from receipt. Bids must conform to the Instructions to Bidders in the project manual. A single lump sum proposal is requested on a General Contract, including demolition, general construction, mechanical, electrical, site preparation, and other related work required within these documents. New Recorder of Deed's Office for Stone County is a single story brick and wood framed constructed building with a basement. Main floor consists of 3,400 SF with open office space, a Conference Room, Restroom, Recorder of Deed's Office, Library, Breakroom, Elevator, Stairs and Utility Closet. The basement consists of 3,380 SF that includes a Data Closet, Elevator Equipment Room, Mechanical/IT Room, Restroom and Open Storage. Plans and specifications can be secured online or in person, with electronic files available at no cost and printed copies available at the bidder's expense.
