This project consists of the complete renovation and modernization of the existing Chimbole Center and selective renovations to the adjacent Library in the City of Palmdale. The scope includes selective demolition, structural steel framing, foundations, roofing systems, exterior windows and doors, new two-level glass concourse, architectural panel systems, and extensive interior renovations. The library will receive a new main entrance through the renovated Chimbole Center, In addition to the architectural improvements, the project includes all-new mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler systems, along with audio-visual, communications, security, and access control systems. Significant site and infrastructure work is also included, featuring parking lot improvements, EV charging stations, landscaping, irrigation, storm drainage facilities, and off-site roadway improvements. The project presents bid opportunities across approximately 44 trade packages spanning structural, architectural, MEP, low-voltage, site, and specialty scopes, and will be delivered under a Community Workforce Agreement with prevailing wage requirements.
