Sealed bids are invited for furnishing all necessary materials and performing all construction work for water system improvements. The scope includes: installation of 6,550 L.F. of 8" PVC C900 DR 18, 3,400 L.F. of 6" PVC C900 DR 18, various gate valves and boxes, tees, bends, reducers, interconnections, fire hydrants and risers, service connections, road paving repair, driveway and gravel repair, pressure testing and disinfection, traffic control, Bermuda grass sod installation, and hydroac exploration. All construction work and materials must conform to the contract documents prepared by Cimarron Valley Engineering, LLC. Bids must be submitted at the specified address and time. Bids submitted earlier than ninety-six hours before the bid opening will be rejected. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible pre-qualified bidder. The Owner reserves the right to correct minor clerical errors, reject any or all bids, and will not consider conditional bids. Bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or a bidder's bond of five percent of the bid total as assurance of entering into a contract and providing necessary bonds. If the successful bidder does not execute the contract and provide the required bonds on time, the deposit will be withheld as liquidated damages. Deposits from unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon completion of contract execution and bonds. Each bidder must submit a sworn statement affirming no collusion or improper agreements with other bidders exists. Construction, Maintenance, Payment, and Statutory Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price are required, from a corporate surety licensed in Oklahoma.
