Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a mixed-use development in Rexburg, Idaho. Completed plans call for the demolition of a day care center; for site work for a day care center; for asbestos abatement for a day care center; educational facility; educational facility; and educational facility.
As of April 08, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded by next week. The work includes the following: Complete asbestos abatement of both buildings as recommended in the attached asbestos Atlas testing report (Exhibit B). Remove and dispose of all asbestos-containing material identified in the Atlas testing report in accordance with applicable regulations. Provide RURA with documentation of the asbestos remediation as required for future demolition and/or moving of structures. Comply with all applicable federal and state requirements regarding asbestos removal, including any required permitting or notifications. Work not included: Demolition of the buildings. Asbestos testing. The Rexburg Urban Renewal Agency (RURA) is seeking bids for asbestos abatement for two buildings: Madison Learning Center Building located at 60 West Main, Rexburg, Idaho 83440 Former Seminary Building located at 30 N 1st W, Rexburg, Idaho 83440
