Work under this contract includes furnishing all supervision, labor, required materials, equipment, tools, and performing all operations necessary, including Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), to completely perform Emergency Street Lighting Restoration pursuant to Mayor’s, Governor’s, or President Declaration of Emergency. The work may include returning the street lighting system to full operational condition, furnishing and installing all components associated with street lighting systems, cutting, removing and discarding any obstacles obstructing the right of way, replacing sidewalk flags damaged during the storm by any of the street lighting components (with prior approval and FDOT compliance), and measuring and certifying all work to the Engineer or their designated representative. Digital pictures with GPS coordinates must be taken before and after work and submitted with each daily work log in print and electronic form. Any work listed without pay item must be included as incidental to the work repair. For additional detail, refer to the Miami-Dade County Roadway Lighting Manual, Public Works Manual, FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, and the National Electric Code (NEC). The County may award more than one contract based on proposals received and event impacts associated with the Declaration of Emergency. Bidders must submit their bids via Sealed Envelopes to the Clerk of the Board Office by the specified due date and time. All document holders must provide an e-mail address to receive addendums and RFI’s electronically. The successful bidder must be registered under the new Vendor Registration procedures prior to award. Bidders must hold a valid Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Contractor or equivalent, and engage personnel with required experience and certifications per contract documents. The bidder must also provide detailed descriptions of at least three similar projects completed by identified personnel within the last five years. The County reserves the right to request additional information about bidder experience. Bidders must furnish insurance meeting required coverages as outlined, and indemnify and hold harmless the County from liability arising from contract performance. Performance and Payment Bonds are required as specified. Bids are subject to the Provisions of Federally Funded Projects and applicable emergency relief program requirements.
