As of 4/15/2026, this project has no yet been awarded. It is anticipated to be awarded tomorrow. Bids are invited for the 2025 Community Development Danbury Generator Project. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available from the City Secretary. Bids must include a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Danbury or negotiable U. S. Government Bonds may also be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The successful bidder must comply with the federally determined prevailing wage rate, ensure nondiscrimination in employment, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, Build America, Buy America Act requirements, and other federal rules as outlined. Bids may be held for up to 30 days for review prior to contract award. Contractors or subcontractors debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from federal assistance programs may not participate. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities in the bidding process.
