Competitive Sealed Proposals are requested for the Window Restoration of the existing historic Shelby County Jail located in Center, Texas. Proposals must be clearly marked and received by the specified deadline. Offerors should use lump sum pricing and be prepared to itemize work elements for negotiations. A security deposit of five percent of the proposal amount is required, with progressive payments and retainage. Payment and performance bonds are needed for contracts exceeding $25,000 and $100,000, respectively. Contractors must comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, all relevant safety, health, and construction regulations, and applicable local ordinances. Substantial Completion of the project is required within 120 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formality in the proposals received. Proposals may not be withdrawn for ninety calendar days after opening.
