The purpose of this project is to aid Curatorial staff in decision-making that affects the integrity and value of New York State-owned works of art and objects housed in the Executive Mansion and any designated storage spaces. Decisions may pertain to preventative care, safe and proper storage, maintenance, conservation, repair, or restoration. The mission is to provide stewardship and collection care for the cultural assets under the program’s purview. Instructions to bidders include the following: Bidders must attend a Mandatory Site Visit in Albany, NY, at the designated date and time. Pre-registration is required for site security, and registration must be completed by submitting the appropriate application by the specified deadline. Failure to attend the site visit will result in rejection of the bid. Minimum qualifications must be met, including business certification (MWBE, SDVOB, or NYS Small Business), requisite years of experience in curatorial/registrarial work, appropriate degree, and experience with collection management software. Additional information may be requested to ensure capability and safe performance of the work.
