Work includes, but is not limited to, replacement of fireplace and bathroom fans, and other tasks as described in the bid documents. Bidders must have a current certificate of registration as a contractor for the last three years under the same name and have completed the required L&I training. All bids must be received no later than the specified due date and time. Performance and Payment bonds for 100% of the Contract Award Amount shall be furnished for the work. On contracts of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00) or less, at Contractor's option the requirement may be waived in lieu of an additional 5% (total 10%) retainage. Minority-owned and women-owned businesses, socially and economically disadvantaged businesses, and small businesses are strongly encouraged to submit bids or to participate as subcontractors and suppliers. KCHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
