Renovation of an educational facility in Santa Paula, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Removal and replacement of windows at Building C. The scope also requires the purchase and removal from the school grounds of all old materials required by the specifications to be removed from any existing school building on the same grounds and not required for school purposes, with the bid to state the amount that will be deducted as the purchase price of old materials. The contract will be let to the responsible bidder whose net bid is the lowest, or all bids may be rejected. Bids must be on the District-provided form and responsive to all contract documents. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for 10% of the total bid price. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond are required of the successful bidder. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required. The successful bidder must comply with all California labor, wage, and safety regulations and provide appropriate certifications, bonds, and insurances. The base bid amount only will be considered for award. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any irregularity in any bid received. No bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety days after the date of the bid opening. The successful bidder may substitute securities for monies withheld by the District. The successful bidder will be required to meet the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise goal or demonstrate good faith effort to solicit such participation. Labor compliance monitoring and prevailing wage requirements apply. Pre-qualification requirements: To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess a B- General Building Contractor or C17- Glazing California contractor's license, active and in good standing throughout the contract term. The bidder must be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Only prequalified bidders may submit bids. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be considered non-responsive and returned unopened. Bidders must comply with sections 2449, 2449.1, and 2449.2 of Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations for In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets and provide certificate(s) of reported compliance.
