Renovation of a multi-residential development in Providence, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
General Contractor/Construction Manager services are requested for Admiral Terrace Lead-Based Paint Abatement. This solicitation is for the abatement of lead-based paint at Admiral Terrace under the Housing Authority of the City of Providence. Bidders interested in this project are expected to attend a pre-bid conference and follow the timelines provided for questions and bid submission. The pre-bid conference will be held at 40 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence, RI. Abatement work will include, but not be limited to, removal, covering, or paint stabilization of steel door and window lintels at masonry openings and porch railing systems at designated units. Window casings and sills with lead containing paint will also be covered or paint stabilized. Windowsills will be inspected for integrity and if rotted or damaged will be replaced before covering. Overhead awnings over entry doors are identified as lead based paint structures that have been covered with vinyl and aluminum. Some coverings have been damaged and will need to be field verified by the contractor and repaired if necessary. See Appendix 1 for a spreadsheet with building common areas hazards and unit specific hazards. Lead-based paint abatement work will be integrated into construction work and the asbestos removal work (if needed) on all buildings. All products and materials used must be approved by Providence Housing Authority.
