Defence Construction Canada is inviting consulting firms to apply to be placed on a quick response consultant source list to provide 'as and when required' professional services related to commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional construction work required by the Department of National Defence at Garrison Petawawa. The source lists are being established for the following architectural and engineering disciplines: architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical. Typical services include preparation of a statement of requirements, preparation of concepts, design development, construction documents, and assistance during the tendering and construction phases for the construction of a new building or renovations to an existing building. Only consulting firms with offices within 150 km of 101 Menin Road, Petawawa, Ontario, K8H 2X3 will be considered. Each source list is for a period of three years, with an estimated maximum value of up to $600,000 and individual commissions typically between $5,000 and $75,000, with a maximum of $100,000. Applications must be submitted through MERX's electronic bidding system. Consulting firms must be eligible to be licensed, certified, or otherwise authorized to provide the necessary professional services as required by law in the province. Contracts may require the production of deliverables in both official languages. Firms must meet security requirements, including organization and personnel security clearances. Firms must comply with all applicable laws, codes, and municipal by-laws and review designs with appropriate public authorities as needed.
