Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Reference Number 0000417056 KCDC is soliciting proposals from construction firms with recent, comparable experience as a Construction Manager at Risk ("CMAR"), working under a guaranteed maximum price (GMP), and that are skilled in construction of new park and greenway developments with a similar size, scope and complexity. Note that KCDC plans to post additional documents that support this solicitation next week. Responses must be submitted via the BidNet platform as one document and must be on KCDC's forms with all required documents included. Responses delivered by email, fax, USPS, or in person will be rejected. Questions about the solicitation must be submitted via the designated platform by the specified deadline; KCDC will not accept questions by email or phone. There will be an electronic pre-proposal meeting. Site visits are not applicable. Since this is a Request for Proposals, there will not be a public opening. The award decision will be posted on the KCDC website. All documents provided are subject to the Tennessee Open Meetings Act and open records requirements once an award decision is made. Owner anticipates a two-month preconstruction/design phase and a construction start date in second quarter of 2026.
