Renovation of a municipal facility in Sioux City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the Courthouse Freight Elevator Replacement in Sioux City, Iowa. Each bid must be submitted on official bid forms provided by the Architect and enclosed in a separate sealed envelope, clearly identified and addressed. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or certified share draft for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, in a separate sealed envelope marked "Bid Bond" or "Bid Security." The certified or cashier's check must be drawn on a bank or credit union in Iowa or under U.S. law and payable to the Owner. The bid bond should be executed by a corporation authorized as a surety in Iowa and must not contain additional conditions. The successful bidder must enter into a contract within ten days of Notice of Award and post a satisfactory bond for faithful fulfillment of the contract and required maintenance. Contract documents may be obtained for a refundable deposit and can be examined at the Architect's office or specified building exchanges. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, re-advertise for new bids, and waive informalities in the best interest of the Owner. The successful bidder will be notified after review by the Architect and acceptance by the Owner. Plans and specifications prepared by the Architect are part of the bidding requirements and must be complied with in the proposed contract.
