Sealed bids will be received for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary to replace the roof, paint the building, replace metal doors, install sidewalk and associated improvements, and install fabric canopies over the windows and two man doors at the Buffalo Municipal Airport (H17) FBO Building. The contractor shall provide delegated design for the structural design of the canopies and connection to the metal building, sealed by a professional engineer licensed in the State of Missouri. There are four bid alternates: installation of gutters, downspouts and roof guards; installation of column-supported metal canopies in lieu of fabric canopies; repainting of the communications tower per FAA requirements; and removal and replacement of the hangar doors. This project involves specific quantities of excavation, concrete, sidewalk, culvert, seeding, erosion control, demolition, metal roof panels, hollow metal doors and frames, door hardware, exterior painting, fabric canopies, exterior wall pack lights, and the listed alternates. Contract performance time is 60 calendar days from Notice-to-Proceed, with all work to be substantially completed within this timeframe. All bids must include bid security not less than five percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price. Proposals must be made on the provided forms, and bidders must supply all required information prior to bid opening. Award of contract will be based on the lowest aggregate sum proposal from responsive and responsible bidders, and is contingent on receipt of State-funding assistance under the State Aviation Trust Fund. The contractor must comply with wage and labor requirements per the Missouri Division of Labor Standards. Modifications to project documents may only be made by written addendum by the Owner or Owner's authorized Representative.
