Sealed bids are requested for the replacement of the roof on the Town Fire Station located at 5131 E. Creek Road, Beloit. Bid specifications can be obtained from the Town Clerk at 6916 S. County Road J, Beloit during office hours or by contacting Kristina Bennett. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the Town. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the Fire Station roof replacement project in accordance with the following specifications: Roof System Description The project consists of installing a fully adhered or mechanically fastened roofing system over the existing metal roof structure. Work Includes: 1. Flute Filler Installation Install foam flute fillers between raised ribs of the existing metal roof panels Installation shall include all applicable roof areas, including the upper main roof and lower rear shed roof 2. Recovery Board Installation Install recovery board over flute fillers to create a smooth and uniform roofing surface Recovery board shall be mechanically fastened using screws and plates in accordance with manufacturer specifications 3. TPO Membrane Installation Install 60 mil TPO roofing membrane over the entire roof surface Installation shall include all flashing, seams, penetrations, and terminations necessary to provide a watertight system 4. Flashing and Penetrations All roof penetrations, edges, and transitions shall be properly flashed and sealed Contractor shall ensure all existing rooftop equipment and penetrations are integrated into the new roofing system 5. Cleanup and Disposal Contractor shall be responsible for all job site cleanup All debris and unused materials shall be removed and properly disposed of off-site Site shall be left in clean and safe condition upon completion 6. Existing Conditions Contractor shall inspect existing roof prior to bidding Any damaged or deteriorated decking discovered during construction shall be reported immediately Repairs shall not proceed without written approval from the Town 7. Warranty Contractor shall provide all applicable manufacturer warranties and a workmanship warranty for the completed roofing system Completion Timeline Work shall be completed within 6 months of contract award
