Karnes County is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified and interested firms to perform Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the Rehabilitation of the historic Karnes County Courthouse located at 101 North Pana Maria, Karnes City, Texas 78118. Karnes County has hired Ford, Powell and Carson Architects and Planners, Inc. (FPC) to perform an assessment of the historic courthouse and develop construction documents for its rehabilitation. The County is seeking qualifications from Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) firms to provide pre-construction services in support of the preparation of the construction documents, including assisting FPC with any investigations needed to inform the work and providing cost estimating during the design phase. The CMAR will provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) to construct the project. The budget for construction is approximately $4,500,000.00 or less. The final cost is subject to funding limits, design and construction fees, and other factors.
