The work consists of the installation of 5,260 LF of 10-inch gravity sewer main, 22 new manholes, and all other related appurtenances as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. Bids must be submitted on the required bid form, fully completed and executed with original signatures and corporate seals, and all bidders must be listed as plan holders by the plan distributor. The successful bidder shall make positive efforts to use small, minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged businesses. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours Standard Act, and President's Executive Order No. 11246 as amended, which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Contractors and subcontractors must comply with 41 CFR 60-4 regarding affirmative action. The procurement is subject to DOW Procurement Guidance, including the Davis-Bacon Act. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The City of Hardinsburg reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids. The sealed bid must be clearly marked for this contract and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Hardinsburg in the amount of five percent of the bid.
