Site work for a communication facility in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a communications tower.
Sealed bids will be received for phase-over-phase line switches under Contract #UE27-03-10. Bids may be submitted either electronically through the City of Springfield Bid Portal or via mail courier to the Office of Budget and Management Purchasing Department. Proposals will be opened in the City Council Chambers. Plans and specifications are available for download online or from the City Purchasing Department. All contracts for the construction of public works must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Female and minority business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids. Seventh Street Phone: (217) 789-2191 Springfield, IL 6270 SCOPE - All material shall be per these specifications. 1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1.1 STANDARDS 1.1.1 Switch shall, at a minimum, comply with the following standards: IBC, NESC, NEC, AISC, AISI, ANSI, ASTM, NEMA, UL, IBC 1.1.2 Latest version of applicable IEEE standards shall be used 1.1.3 Seller shall comply with other applicable standards and specify these standards. The intent of this contract is for the City of Springfield, Office of Public Utilities (CWLP) to enter into a contract for the purchase of two (2) Phase-Over-Phase Line Switch assemblies for the J1610/Alpha Substation. The switches are intended to provide pole-mounted line switching/isolation on either side of a 138kV substation tap.
