The project will include Base and Alternate Bids. Bidders are required to submit a cashier's or certified check issued by a bank satisfactory to the Denton County Fresh Water Supply District No. 4-A, or a Bid Bond (with proper Power of Attorney) from a surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, payable without recourse to the Denton County Fresh Water Supply District No. 4-A, in an amount not less than five percent of the total amount of the bid submitted to insure that the successful bidder will enter into a contract and provide all necessary bonds within fifteen days after Notice of Award of the contract. This bid security must be included in the bid envelope for the bidder to be considered responsive. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds as described in the bidding documents.
