The Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, Minnesota, invites and welcomes interested firms to submit bids for the waterline distribution replacement, waterline valves replacement, one (1) fire hydrant rebuild and the installation of one (1) water meter at the Monorail building. Pre-qualification: Required The Minnesota Zoological Garden (MN Zoo or Zoo) in Apple Valley, Minnesota, invites and welcomes interested firms to submit bids for the waterline distribution replacement, waterline valves replacement, one (1) fire hydrant rebuild and the installation of one (1) water meter at the Monorail building. The MN Zoo intends to award this contract to a qualified firm based upon experience, qualifications, references, and costs. The awarded firm will work closely with Zoo personnel and various stakeholders during the planning phase and throughout construction to ensure all interested parties' needs are met and the Zoo's tradition of excellence is maintained. The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to supply and install the replacement waterline from the monorail building to the bison holding building, replace the three (3) valves at the power plant, rebuild the fire hydrant across from the power plant, and install a Badger water meter inside the Monorail building. The work generally includes, but is not limited to the following: o Directional boring of 1 1/2 " waterline o Remove/replace water isolation valves, curb stops, curb boxes o Rebuild fire hydrant o Install Badger water meter at Monorail building o Removal and replacement of asphalt o General plumbing The estimated total dollar value of the contract for one year is $150,000 to $300,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
