Reference Number 0000318244 Source ID PU.MU.MB.559625.C2866976 Agreement Type New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA) D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of industrial Maintenance & Emergency Repair, on-call Plumbing services for Winnipeg Transit, servicing various Transit locations and infrastructure throughout the City of Winnipeg. Transit locations include, but not limited to: (a) 421 Osborne Street - Fort Rouge Garage (b) 600 Brandon Avenue - Brandon Garage (c) 1520 Main Street - North Garage (d) Bus Operator Comfort Stations - 24 units at various locations throughout the City of Winnipeg The City may negotiate the extension option with the Contractor within ninety (90) Calendar Days prior to the expiry date of the Contract. The City shall incur no liability to the Contractor as a result of such negotiations. D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Fix or replace malfunctioning fixtures such as toilets, sinks, faucets, and showers, which may include fixing leaks, low pressure, or broken components. (b) Addressing blockages or clogs in plumbing systems, including sewer lines, drains, and grease interceptors, including using rooters or hydro-jetting services to clear obstructed pipes. (c) Repair services for water heaters, boilers, and industrial water treatment systems, including the repair or replacement of leaking pipes, fixtures, seals and fittings. (d) Inspection of pipes for leaks, corrosion, and deterioration, and performing necessary repairs in pipes, water meters, pressure regulation valves, and hose bibs. (e) Inspection & regularly cleaning of grease traps. (f) Cleaning and clearing of drains, pipes, and sewer lines, including the use of high-pressure water jetting or mechanical rodding equipment. (g) Testing & inspection of backflow prevention devices and ensuring compliance with regulations. (h) Inspect, clean, or replace check valves, isolation valves, and pressure relief valves as necessary to ensure smooth operation and safety. (i) Sediment and Mineral Build-up Removal including flushing of water heaters, boilers, and water supply lines to remove sediment, scale, and mineral deposits. (j) Filter and Valve Maintenance: Clean or replace filters in water filtration systems, hot water tanks, or other equipment to maintain water quality. (k) Plumbing related project work including installation, replacement and upgrades. (l) On occasion, may require services such as Vactor Truck, Pump Truck, Steam Truck and Camera truck. D2.3 The Work shall be done on an "as required" basis during the term of the Contract. D2.3.1 The type and quantity of Work to be performed under this Contract shall be as authorized from time to time by the Contract Administrator and/or Users. D2.3.2 Notwithstanding C7.4, the City shall have no obligation under the Contract to purchase any quantity of any item in excess of their actual operational requirements. D2.4 Notwithstanding D2.1, in the event that operational changes result in substantial changes to the requirements for Work, the City reserves the right to alter the type or quantity of work performed under this Contract, or to terminate the Contract, upon thirty (30) Calendar Days written notice by the Contract Administrator. In such an event, no claim may be made for damages on the ground of loss of anticipated profit on Work.
