Renovation of a multi-residential development in Barberton, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Sealed bid proposals will be received for the Crimson Terrace Renovation and related work at 408 Herms Ct., Barberton, Ohio. Specifications can be purchased at SE Blueprint, Inc. or downloaded from the Housing Agency Marketplace website. All bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee, which may be a bond for the full amount of the bid, a certified/cashier's check, bank draft, or irrevocable letter of credit for 10% of the bid amount. The bid guarantee ensures execution of the contract and the furnishing of a method of assurance of completion by the successful bidder, which shall be by performance and payment bond for 100% of the contract amount, a 20% cash deposit, or a 25% irrevocable letter of credit. All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project must be produced in the United States per the Build America Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements. Bidders must comply with equal employment opportunity requirements and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 regarding training and employment opportunities for Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns. The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise, or waive any informality in bids received at its discretion. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the opening of bids without consent. All questions must be submitted in writing to Carla Horton, Contracting Officer, by 4:00 PM on March 31, 2026. Questions will be answered via Addenda, also see Section #6 below
