Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Troy, Montana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project involves rehabilitating approximately 400 feet of a levee segment on the right bank of Keeler Creek in Lincoln County, Montana, where flood events destroyed the original levee structure and eroded the bridge approach and embankment. A temporary flood-fight levee prism with large rock armoring was previously constructed upstream and downstream of the damaged bridge, and the County plans to rebuild the bridge approach and reassess tie-ins. Work includes reconstructing the levee embankment using large rock and gravels to restore protection for nearby residential properties and public infrastructure. All on-site activities must comply with the USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1), including development of a project-specific Accident Prevention Plan and Activity Hazard Analyses. A Site Safety and Health Officer with at least three years of relevant construction safety experience and recent 30-Hour OSHA Construction training must be provided for each shift, along with a Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead to select and implement erosion control measures. The contractor must use the Government-furnished QCS module of the Resident Management System to record and submit project information. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
