The project includes the complete demolition of the existing wrestling room building and associated corridor, miscellaneous demolition inside the existing High School Gymnasium and Classroom buildings, site demolition, earthwork and development around the new addition area, new addition construction, renovation in the existing High School wing, renovations inside the existing High School Gymnasium building, and fire sprinkler work inside the existing building. Bids are being accepted for a General Contract, including Demolition, Civil, Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction Work. Instructions to bidders require all bids to be in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by the architects. Bids must be made on forms furnished by the architect and accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond equal to five percent of the amount of the bid. All bids must be sealed and plainly marked. This project is tax exempt and bidders should not include state sales tax in their bid totals. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract sum. Bid security for the two lowest bidders will be retained until a contract is awarded and executed, but no longer than 30 days. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise for new bids, and waive informalities as needed.
