Site work and paving for a civil project in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and road / highway.
The work shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction of installation of: 180 LF 6" DI Water Main; 2,680 LF 8" DI Water Main; 440 LF Domestic Water Services; 6 Hydrants; 1,650 Ton, Machine-Placed 19.5mm HMA; 1,250 Ton, Machine-Placed 12.5mm HMA; 150 Ton, Hand-Placed Pavement. The project includes replacing the existing 8" LCI main in Tall Pines Drive with a new, 8" DI main from Strawberry Avenue to Northwood Road, and stripping and repaving the full width of Tall Pines Drive and Northwood Road (from Main Street to dead-end). Minor ancillary storm drain and sewer main maintenance work located within the project limits is also included. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and fulfillment of contract conditions.
