ASSUMPTION PARISH SCHOOL BOARD PIERRE PART ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WALKWAY CANOPY PROJECT 3321 LA-70 PIERRE PART, LA 70339 Bids must be submitted on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form furnished with the Contract Documents, as per Instructions to Bidders. Evidence of authority to submit the bid is required in accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(A)(1)(c). All Bid packages must include: 1. Bid Security in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Amount, as a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond made payable to the Assumption Parish School District. Bid Bond must be accompanied by Power of Attorney. 2. Completed Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form. 3. If someone other than a corporate officer signs for the Bidder/Contractor, a copy of a corporate resolution or other signature authorization is required. Failure to include appropriate signature authorization may result in rejection of the bid. Failure to include any specified item, or to complete the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form in its entirety and properly execute it, will result in the bid being declared irregular and cause for rejection as being non-responsive. All requirements contained in the Instructions to Bidders, Articles 1-10, must be strictly adhered to. All work must be completed within one hundred and five (105) calendar days from the written Notice to Proceed, subject to milestone phase completion deadlines as identified in the Project Manual or approved Change Orders. If the contractor fails to complete the work or obtain State Fire Marshal occupancy approval on time, the Owner may deduct stipulated damages from the contractor’s payments for each day past the prescribed dates. Bids are accepted only from contractors licensed under La. R.S. 37:21502164 for the classification of Building Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for at least thirty (30) calendar days after the receipt deadline, except as provided in La. R.S. 38:2214. The lowest qualified bid will be the one offering the best advantage to the Assumption Parish School Board, which reserves the right to waive any informalities in the award. The successful bidder must register with the Assumption Parish Sales and Use Tax Department, and all applicable state and local taxes must be included in the bid amount.
