The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, and all other provisions necessary to remove and replace two fire doors, including a set of double doors and associated frames, at the facility. The scope includes removal and disposal of existing doors and frames, correction of excessive clearance issues, repair of exit device latching deficiencies, and installation of new steel fire-rated doors and frames. Replacement doors shall be steel with a 90-minute fire rating and include clearance correction, door replacement kits, latch sets, and all required parts to ensure proper strike engagement. Work includes repair and adjustment of existing swinging doors where required, site cleanup, inspection and testing of all installed components, verification of compliance with Joint Commission, NFPA, OSHA, state, and local codes, and labeling of compliant fire-rated doors and frames. The contractor shall provide a one-year warranty for parts and labor, submit a report documenting all completed door replacements, and update life safety drawings to indicate the locations of replaced fire doors. All work shall be performed during normal business hours, coordinated in advance with the VA point of contact, completed within 30 days of contract award, and executed in accordance with industry standards and applicable VA, NFPA, UL, OSHA, and Joint Commission requirements.
