The work involves roof improvements at East Elementary School for the Independence Community School District. This includes removal and replacement of four roof sections totaling 31,759 square feet. The required tasks are: removal of the current single ply membrane and insulation system down to the existing gypsum deck; replacement with an adhered 90-mil EPDM membrane and an R-30 insulation system with a self-adhered vapor barrier; provision of a 30-year NDL Warranty; relocating three roof drains and associated piping; and capping two obsolete roof drains. The construction budget is $904,300. Work must begin on June 1, 2026, be substantially complete by August 14, 2026, and reach final completion by September 4, 2026.
