Locations will be determined by The Engineer. o Drill and install a 6-inch diameter steel cased well to a maximum depth of 150 feet bgs. Provide a per ft price should the well be shallower or deeper than 150 feet bgs. o The proposal must describe the proposed method of drilling and well construction. o Representative soil samples must be collected at a minimum of 5-foot intervals or more frequently as directed by the drilling inspector/project Engineer through the proposed screened interval. o Soil samples will be collected by the driller and analyzed for grain size distribution. o Install a well screen designed with screen opening(s) to match the glaciofluvial sandy gravel formation in each production well. The final screen zone (depth) will be determined by the screen vendor and engineer/geologist. The screen design will be approved by the project engineer before the screen is ordered. The target water production rate is 50+ gpm for each well. o Perform well development until turbidity isless than 1 NTU. The contractor bid should clearly state the number of assumed hours for well development. Assume 24 hours minimum per well and include an hourly rate for well development, this rate will be used if any additional development is needed.
