The Carmel Central School District is inviting bids for its 100K Capital Outlay Project. Bid documents are prepared by LaBella Associates, D.P.C. Drawings and specifications are available electronically for a non-refundable charge, and bid documents may also be examined by appointment at the offices of LaBella Associates. Prospective subcontractors and material suppliers may obtain bidding documents by paying the printing and mailing costs. Attention is called to the sales tax exemption, conditions of employment to be observed, and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Bidding documents contain detailed requirements for qualification, including bonding and insurance, financial statements, bank references, lists of legal proceedings, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and descriptions of similar projects completed by the bidder. Each bidder must deposit with their bid security in an amount not less than five percent of the base bid in the required form. Bids must be prepared as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders, submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the title of the work. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five days after the bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids and may disqualify bidders for failure to comply with instructions.
