Site work for a mixed-use development in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work includes the installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of 8-inch SDR 26 PVC pipe, including 180 linear feet of restrained-joint pipe, two 4-foot diameter manholes (0 to 5 feet depth), two 4-foot diameter manholes (10 to 15 feet depth), 125 linear feet of bored encasement for 8-inch PVC carrier pipe in 20-inch steel casing, one core and seal connection to an existing manhole, and all necessary appurtenances. Bidders must submit a Bid Bond of not less than five percent of the base bid with their bid. The successful bidder must execute a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond and furnish insurance as required. The project must be completed within 60 calendar days after authorization to start work. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,000 per calendar day. Any obviously unbalanced bid may be rejected, and Hardin County Water District No. 2 reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the instructions to bidders included in the contract documents. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing by email to Forrest Pollock (fpollock@hcwd2.org) with a copy to Brandon Hamilton (bhamilton@kenvirons.com) and Josh Powell (jpowell@kenvirons.com). Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered
