As of June 02, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. KCAB is soliciting General Contractor services for the renovation of approximately 20,000 square feet of space located on the Ramp Level of Concourse A. The project area is currently about 50 percent occupied and includes critical Airport Operations and Housekeeping functions, requiring careful coordination to maintain operational continuity throughout construction. The scope of work includes enclosing and upgrading the existing temporary Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to establish a permanent, fully functional EOC; expanding an existing gathering area to create a larger conference or SAMS room; enhancing finishes within the occupied Housekeeping Dept. office suite and its associated restroom facilities; and completing finish upgrades in several vacant offices within the project boundary. Because a substantial portion of the space will remain occupied during the renovation, the project will require a phased construction approach that ensures uninterrupted use of essential airport services while maintaining safety and minimizing operational impact.
