Leading Idaho Local Bridge Program project for Power County Highway District, Proposal Number 23460- 98. Existing Bridge Key Number 23460 is in Power County and carries Michaud Road over the Taghee Canal. The bridge is owned and maintained by Power County Highway District and is located approximately 7.4 miles east from the City of Chubbuck, Idaho. This proposal is for the contractor to remove the existing timber bridge and replace it with single-span prestressed voided slab concrete bridge on reinforced soil abutments. The bridge will be closed during construction and traffic will be detoured around the bridge with a shoofly. Additional work includes roadway approach construction and permitted canal alterations.
