Reference Number 0000418224 Source ID PU.AG.USA.2519149.C21857351 Piggyback Contract No Question Acceptance Deadline 04/02/2026 05:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No Minor PM Service of a Onan DGCB-5956560 During Minor PM Service, our service technicians will perform the following: Cooling System o Visual inspection of radiator or heat exchanger for leaks, damage, and obstruction. o Check jacket water coolant level and take coolant sample for analysis. o Test coolant for proper antifreeze percentage. o Check jacket water heater for proper operation and adjust thermostat setting as needed. o Inspect condition of radiator cap, gasket and sealing surface. o Visual inspection of water pump and cooling system gaskets for leaks. o Check belt tension and inspect for cracking and fraying if accessibility without disassembly permits. o Inspect pulleys for excessive wear and lubricate hub bearings as needed. o Inspect flexible water connections for cracking, leaks, and pliability. o Tighten hose clamps as needed. Lubrication System o Check oil level. Top off with oil from customer's stock. o Check for excessive crankcase blow-by with engine running. o Visual inspection of front and rear crankshaft seals and lubrication system gaskets for leaks. o Inspect oil hose and connections for cracking, leaks, and pliability. o Take crankcase oil sample and send to our S.O.S. laboratory. Fuel System - Diesel Engine o Inspect flexible fuel lines for cracking, leaks and pliability. o Check day tank/base tank level and test day tank pump for proper operation. o Operate fuel-priming pump and check for proper operation and leaks. o Drain water from water separator. o Check fuel system for leaks. o Check electronic governor connections and actuator. o Inspect steel fuel lines for cracks, leaks and proper line bracket support. Starting System o Top off electrolyte level in batteries with distilled water from customers stock if applicable. o Check and record battery charger/alternator for proper charge rate. o Check for proper cranking termination upon starting. o Clean and apply corrosion inhibitor to the terminals of lead acid batteries as needed. o Tighten battery cable connections as needed. o Inspect and tighten starter motor, connections, and wiring. o Check and record battery voltage dip level during over crank test for minimum voltage required to maintain controls during start-up. Exhaust System o Inspect flexible exhaust coupling for cracks, excessive leakage, broken, or missing hardware. o Inspect exterior of exhaust manifolds for oil/fuel slobbering (signs of wet stacking). o Inspect exhaust rain protection and exhaust outlet screening. o Drain water in exhaust moisture traps. Air Intake System o Inspect air filters for plugging and deterioration, clean if required. o Check all air intake piping for damage and loose connections. o Inspect air cleaner seal for pliability and sealing and clean if necessary. o Inspect turbocharger for excessive endplay clearance (if accessible) and seal leakage. Installation o Walk around inspection of complete installation. o Inspect generator set vibration isolators. o Check for abnormal noise or vibration. o Re-check for oil and coolant leaks with engine running. o Check for proper operation of remote fan motors, thermostats, circulating pumps, and solenoid valves. o Check inlet and discharge louvers for proper operation with engine running and stopped. Control Panel o Operational check of illumination and safety lamps. o Check electronic control panels for fault codes. Clear any unnecessary codes, notify customer of any codes that need to be addressed. o Check proper operation of engine and generator instruments with generator running. o Adjust governor control for optimum performance and frequency. o Adjust voltage regulator for proper voltage. o Check for and tighten loose terminals on the generator and the generator control panel. o Check tightness of relays in the generator control panel. o Inspect for excessive dirt accumulation and clean as needed. o Test auto-start system with the authorization of the plant engineer. o Test safeties and pre-alarms on engine/generator control and annunciator panels with customer assistance. o Check operation of automatic sync equipment with customer authorization. o Place generator online and check operation of transfer switches. This will be done only with the consent of the building engineer or building representative. Upon Completion of Service o Reset all controls to automatic. o Set circuit breaker to correct position. o Check that fuel valves are in correct position. o Check that battery charger is on. o Check that day tank controls are on. o Check that Louver controls are on. o Check that Jacket water heater is on. Major PM Service During Major PM Service, our service technicians will perform Minor PM Service as well as the following: Additional Steps o Change engine oil and filters. o Change primary and secondary fuel filters. o Properly dispose of waste oil and filters. o Lubricate fan drive if accessible. o Lubricate governor linkage. o Lubricate generator bearing if accessible. o Clean or Replace inlet filter for day tank. o Clean crankcase breather.
