The contractor will provide water meter reading services for nineteen residential properties and two master meters within the service area on a bimonthly basis, using manual methods. Responsibilities include reporting meter readings with details such as meter ID, location, reading, date, and any anomalies; completing readings within the first five business days of the month and submitting reports by the seventh business day; ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all data; inspecting, troubleshooting, and reporting on meter conditions; performing minor repairs to meters and components, including installation of new meters and handling turn-off/lock and reconnect services for nonpayment; being available on-call 24/7 for emergency repairs or issues; interacting with customers regarding meter or billing issues; providing their own vehicle and equipment; and generating accurate monthly water usage data for billing purposes. Proposals must include a company profile, description of methodology, a detailed pricing breakdown (per meter, future meters, hourly repair rates, emergency call-out rates, and any additional fees), proof of insurance, and at least one reference from a prior similar project. Bidders must agree to comply with federal eVerify and submit required affidavits or license documentation. Proposals will be evaluated based on cost, experience, ability to meet schedule and scope, and past performance. The municipality reserves all rights regarding award and contract negotiation and is not obligated to award to the lowest bidder.
