Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Port Lavaca, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The project consists of the demolition of the existing bridge structure, installation of a new bridge, new guardrails, and reconnection to the existing roadway, for a complete project in place and in accordance with the plans and specifications. Bidders must submit with their bid a bid bond, issued by an acceptable surety, or a certified check, payable to Calhoun County, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid submitted. Bids submitted without the required security will not be considered. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract, and for the duration of the project. The successful bidder will be required to purchase and furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the full amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas. The successful bidder shall begin work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages.
