The Monroe County School District is requesting bids for districtwide grounds landscaping services for a one-year contract, with the option to renew for up to three additional years. The services will include site investigation, mowing, trimming, edging, weed control, maintenance of mulch and landscape beds, bush and tree maintenance, playground maintenance, rock landscape area maintenance, debris removal, storm recovery assistance, and keeping all campus areas clean and safe. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, mulch, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and related materials. Site visits to proposed locations are recommended for bidders. Bidders must supply documentation of commercial landscaping experience in Monroe County, a staffing plan, experience with multi-year contracts, reference letters, an English-speaking staff liaison, evidence of employee safety and training programs, and proper pesticide and herbicide licensing. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the district's e-Procurement Portal. Pricing is to be provided per school and on a per-cut basis, with the district reserving the right to award contracts by school, groupings of schools, or districtwide. Compliance with all insurance, safety, background screening, and local regulations is required.
