Site work for a mixed-use development in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility.
The Town of Plymouth is seeking proposals from qualified professional consultants to provide a comprehensive Public Safety Facility/Complex Feasibility Study. The PFD and PPD are seeking an innovative consulting firm with experience proposing long-range solutions for public safety facilities. The work to be completed includes the following: 1. Gather pertinent data and information. The consultant is responsible for all costs associated with obtaining third-party data, such as GIS. 2. Collaborate with the Town, PFD and PPD staff to gather information and to evaluate current and future needs as they pertain to the objectives listed. 3. Conduct an operational efficiency evaluation and analysis of existing public safety facilities with a focus on PFD and PPD Headquarters, including an inspection to identify existing conditions of the buildings (structural, design, layout, expansion opportunities, HVAC, energy efficiency, electrical, space needs, etc.) to form recommendations for a remodel or construction of new facilities. 4. Identify future facility needs and locations, and plan for phasing for facility development/ construction, including temporary response locations, and equipment, based on, but not limited to: a. Land use b. Population c. Density d. Physical or other barriers e. Future residential and commercial development f. Transportation infrastructure g. Apparatus and equipment deployment h. Address the potential impact to the current ISO rating and how we can improve it. 5. Prepare draft report for review and comment by Town and Public Safety leadership before drafting the final report. 6. Provide digital and ten (10) printed copies of the final report. 7. Present final report to PFD & PPD leadership, the Town Manager and the Select Board.
