This project consists of site and selective building demolitions to address drainage issues at the northwest area of the existing grade school, as well as to provide a new egress door and post mounted canopy system (by alternate) and coordination with work of the Owner. Unit Prices will include providing new tile in case of unusable tiles if no attic stock is available from Owner. Sealed bids will be received from General Contractors for a combined GENERAL WORK package. To demonstrate qualification for performing the work, bidders may be requested to submit written evidence of financial position and evidence of license to perform work in the State of Illinois. Bid Security in the amount and form specified in the instructions will be required to be submitted with each bid. Bids may not be withdrawn until 30 days after the bid date and time. Successful bidders shall be required to observe the following: - Prevailing Wage Act as issued by the Illinois Department of Labor. - Public Work Preference Act pertaining to hiring Illinois labor. - Illinois Human Rights Act, as Amended, and the Rules and Regulations, Title 44, Section 750 of the Illinois Administrative Code, Illinois Department of Human Rights. - Successful bidders and their subcontractors shall be required to enter a project labor agreement with the Egyptian Building & Construction Trades Council. Drawings, Specifications, and Addenda will be shared free online. Contractors obtaining drawings will only be updated through this service.
