The Town of Windsor is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide construction management, inspection, and materials testing for the Old Redwood Highway Pavement Preservation Project. The project covers the Old Redwood Highway between Shadetree Drive and 200-feet south of Pan Abode Court. The work includes demolition of existing improvements; edge grinding and conform grinding of existing asphalt pavement; demolition and removal of existing concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk; installation of storm drainage pipe and structures; repair of localized pavement failures; construction of hot mix asphalt overlay and slurry seal; application of pavement markings and striping; adjustment of utility structures to grade; repair of miscellaneous concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk; construction of concrete median islands; upgrading pedestrian curb ramps for ADA compliance; installation of crosswalk enhancements including solar-powered/wireless rectangular rapid flashing beacons; placement of hot mix asphalt dikes; replacement of loop detectors; construction of storm water management; traffic control; public notification; and coordination. The project is funded by Sonoma County Measure DD (Go Sonoma), SB1 Gas Tax, and Town of Windsor Traffic Mitigation, Drainage Mitigation, and General Funds. The construction estimate is $1,996,000 with 90 working days specified for completion in the Special Provisions. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
