The project involves installation of a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) pedestrian crossing system along with sidewalk, pavement marking, and signage improvements at the intersection of 3rd (Hwy 99E) and Smith Street. The work includes saw cutting, excavation, sidewalk removal and replacement, installation and removal of signs and pavement markings, installation of an RRFB system with two poles, and site restoration. All proposals must be submitted on the regular forms furnished. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder who will be asked to furnish a 100% Corporate Surety Performance Bond for the faithful performance of the contract. Bidders must be an established business (minimum three years) with experience and expertise doing similar projects. No bid for a construction contract shall be received or considered unless the bidder is Licensed with the Construction Contractors Board and/or by the State Landscape Contractors Board as required by ORS 671.530 and has a current Public Works Bond of $30,000.00 prior to starting Work on the Project. This project is for public improvement and subject to Oregon State prevailing wage requirements. No bid will be received or considered unless the bid is signed on the city format that includes a statement by the bidder that the provisions of ORS 279C.840 are to be complied with. If the project is over $100,000, a subcontractor listing is required and can be submitted with the bid, or within two hours after bid closing. Failure to supply a correct subcontractor listing may result in bid rejection. All prospective bidders must be added to the Plan Holders List by sending company contact information to the specified email with the project title in the subject line, and only those on the list will have their bids considered.
