Question Deadline 04/15/2026 at 3:00 PM ET All requests for clarification of or questions regarding this Advertisement for Bids or for additional information must be made in writing to Will Ruberry at william.ruberry@lynchburgva.gov The City of Lynchburg is seeking contractors to furnish and install two areas of steel pedestrian fencing along the railroad tracks across from the downtown Skatepark and up to the area incorporating the front of Depot Grille in downtown Lynchburg. Fencing is to be constructed and installed according to provided specifications and drawings. The contractor is responsible for directing traffic flow during installation, which may include a partial closure of the parking area if needed. Railings must be finished as specified. The work is near active railroad tracks, requiring coordination with Norfolk Southern Rail and compliance with specified Railroad insurance requirements. Fabrication and installation must be completed within 90 days from contract award, with a $100.00 per day penalty for late completion.
