Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,445-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; 5,611-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; educational facility; and playground / park / athletic field.

The project is for new athletic facility improvements at Mercer County Senior High School, including a new artificial turf field with track, earthwork, subdrainage, athletic equipment, new Concessions/Restroom building (2,445 sq ft), and a new Athletics Building (5,611 sq ft), both of which will be load-bearing masonry structures with brick veneer, pre-engineered wood trusses, and shingle roofing. Additional scope includes new tennis courts and a new parking lot. Major systems include Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical. Bids will be received from Individual Trade Package Contractors on a Lump Sum Bid Basis for the specific trade packages identified. All phases of work described for each trade package must be completed by the successful contractor. Bid packages include General Trades, Earthwork, Masonry, Roofing, Flooring, Painting, Bleachers/Press Box, Athletic Track Surfacing, Mechanical, and Electrical. Bids must be submitted using the official form included in the specification manual. A 5% bid bond or certified check for 5% of the bid (including alternates) is required with the bid. Upon award, a 100% performance and payment bond is required for the full bid amount plus any accepted alternates. Bids must remain valid for sixty days. Materials may be purchased tax-exempt via Owner Direct Purchase Orders for items over $5,000 as outlined. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all requirements.
