Bidders must meet the requirements noted in the Instructions to Bidders and Supplemental Instructions to Bidders. Bid Date Notes: Digital bid submittals via email or other electronic means shall not be accepted. The general scope of work is outlined below: Work under this contract shall consist of traffic control, utility coordination, pavement removal and replacement, materials, equipment, labor and restoration required to replace and/or rehabilitate sanitary sewer leads and their respective taps to the public sewer mains. The work under this contract includes the following: Repair of nine (9) sewer lead taps at the public sanitary sewer main. Partial replacement of two (2) "short leads" where the public sanitary sewer is located on the same side of the street of the noted residence. Complete replacement of four (4) "long leads", where the public sanitary sewer is on the opposite side of the street of the noted residence. CIPP rehabilitation of four (4) existing sewer laterals that are composed of vitrified clay pipe ranging in length of 35 feet to 95 feet at varying tap depths as shown on the plans All these sewer lateral replacements connect to public sewers that exist within the street right-of-way. A certified check, bank draft, or satisfactory bid bond, executed by the bidder and a surety company, payable to Clinton Township, in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, shall be submitted with each bid. The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond of 100% for two years of the Final Contract Price. The cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of bids. General Requirements - Federally Funded - Insurance Required The project shall commence immediately following a notice to proceed per these contract documents. Substantial completion of this work is required by July 31, 2026 with restoration and Final Completion is required by September 15, 2026 The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the Township's best interest and its sole discretion.
