Description

Site work for a power facility in Tohatchi, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility.

Bids are requested for the construction and improvements of an electrical substation, including the supply of necessary labor and equipment for the Tohatchi Substation Improvements project located approximately 1.5 miles south of Tohatchi, New Mexico in McKinley County. Bidders must be familiar with Rural Utility Service (RUS) rules and regulations regarding the construction of RUS electric system structures. Each bidder is required to submit electronic bids with a security deposit as specified in the Instructions to Bidders, using a unit price basis with a fixed fee total. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for all bidders. Bids will be evaluated based on cost, compliance with RUS requirements, and bidder qualifications. Preference will be given in accordance with applicable Navajo Nation statutes and requirements, and bidders should provide evidence of Preference Priority Certification if applicable. Construction must begin no later than 60 days after contract approval and be completed before the energization date. Liquidated damages may apply for delays.
