The proposed work involves the installation of a prefabricated, Town-owned lift station on private church property, including approximately 640 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer and 461 linear feet of 2-inch force main in Town-owned roadway right-of-way, and all associated appurtenances required for successful project completion, as described in the specifications and shown on the project drawings. A certified check or cashier's check payable to Town of Rutherfordton or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina in an amount equal to five percent of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance and Payment Bond will be required for this project. The Town of Rutherfordton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any and all informalities, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional bids, or counterbids and to accept the bid that will be in the best interest of the owner(s). Printed contract documents may be obtained for a non-refundable fee, and all bidders must be registered with Odom Engineering.
